Before your first visit

Pet Grooming Release Form

These are the terms you agree to when you book. Please read them in full — you'll be asked to confirm you have when you send a request.

Safety first

Sample policy. Your pet's safety comes first. Animals can be unpredictable, so if a groom can't continue safely, the groomer may use a muzzle, pause, or stop the appointment. You'll always be told why.

Matted coats

Sample policy. Matted coats aren't brushed out — it's painful for the pet and can damage skin. The kind option is usually a shave-down, discussed with you before any work starts. Regular brushing between visits is the best way to avoid it.

Vaccinations

Sample policy. Pets must be current on their rabies vaccination. Other vaccinations are encouraged but not required.

Prices and payment

Sample policy. Online prices are estimates until the groomer meets your pet. Matting, fleas or a pet who needs extra handling can add to the price, and you'll hear about it before the work begins. Payment is due when the groom is finished.

Grooming satisfaction

Sample policy. Not happy with the cut? Say so within 72 hours and it will be fixed free of charge.

Refunds

Sample policy. Grooming services can't be refunded once performed, but anything that isn't right will be fixed within the satisfaction window above.

Cancellations

Sample policy. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Your slot is held for your pet, so repeated late cancellations may mean a deposit to book next time.

Photos of your pet

Sample policy. Photos of your pet are only shared — on the website or social media — if you say yes when you book. You choose per pet, and you can change your mind at any time.

Liability and medical release

Sample policy. You confirm you own the pet, that you've shared any known health issues or history of biting, and that the pet hasn't been exposed to an infectious illness in the last 30 days. The groomer isn't responsible for pre-existing conditions or product reactions not caused by negligence. If a medical emergency happens during a groom and you can't be reached, the groomer may take your pet to the nearest vet, and you agree to cover those costs.

Questions about any of this? Ask Jess before you book — she'd rather talk it through than have you agree to something you're unsure about.
